Established in 1984 as Marra Construction, and were later incorporated to cope up with the growth of the company, Marra Builders Inc. is a Philippine based contractor with extensive experience in building small and large scale Ports and Harbor projects. Marra also engages in Dredging works as well as General Engineering projects.

Marra has built numerous seaports, wharves and reclamation projects throughout the entire Philippine archipelago -- Basco, Batanes to the far North, Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi down South, Mabila Island on the East, and Punta Baja, Palawan on the far West, to name a few.

LPG JETTY FACILITY (2016)
Brgy. Castanas, Sariaya, Quezon

In 2016, Marra Builders, Inc. was awarded the contract for the design and construction of an LPG receiving jetty in Sariaya, Quezon. The jetty is primarily designed for 55,000 DWT vessel. The access trestle is 750-meter in length and the entire Jetty Facility, including the rock causeway, loading platform and steel catwalks were completed in 11 months.. Items of works also include the platform for file/spill protection as well as the fabrication and installation of the galvanized pipe racks. Trelleborg 100T Mooring Bollards and SCN Rubber Dock Fenders were used for this project. Completed on time and one budget.


CONSTRUCTION OF JETTY PORT FOR LIQUID CARGO (2014)
San Rafael, Calaca, Batangas

In 2014, Marra Builders, Inc. was awarded the contract for the design and construction of a jetty port that serves as a liquid material receiving facility. The 30,000 DWT vessel capable jetty port has a draft of -11 meters M.L.L.W. The project was completed in only 8 months, 2 months ahead of our target date.


WHEAT GRAIN TERMINAL (2015)
Brgy. Ingore, Iloilo

In 2015, the company was awarded the contract for the construction of a private port located at Brgy. Ingore, La Paz, Iloilo City. The port was designed for 50,000 DWT, upgradable to 60,000 DWTS vessel. The wharf facility has an area of 4,670 sq.m.., with a lengh of 230-meters. It features a 12-meter wide rock causeway and a 600-m access trestle. Crane rails were placed on the wharf for the placement of gantry/unloader cranes. M-Type fenders were used on the main berth and V=Type fenders were utilized for smaller-sized vessels. The project was completed in 13 months -- well within the allotted construction schedules.


SURIGAO PORT EXPANSION PROJECT
Port of Surigao, Surigao City

Marra Builders, Inc. was awarded the contract for the construction of Surigao Port Expansion Project by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). Completed in 18 months, 6 months ahead of schedule. The work includes driving of prestressed concrete piles, concreting and rebar works for the superstructure, a Roro ramp facility, a back-up area, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of the port's lighting facilities.


UBAY PORT EXPANSION PROJECT PHASE 1 (2010)
Port of Ubay, Bohol

Completed in 2010 as the first phase for the Port Expansion Project by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). The project features a ROro ramp, back-up area, port lighting system, pile driving of prestressed concrete piles, and 145,000 cubic meters of dredging works. The project was completed in 24 months. Marra Builders, Inc. has also managed to win and build Phase 2 of Ubay Development Project, again on schedule.


CONSTRUCTION OF MATERIALS RECEIVING FACILITY (2013)
Calaca, Batangas

In 2013, Marra Builders, Inc. was awarded the contract for the design and construction of wharf primarily designed as a coal receiving facility. The project was completed in 13 months, 2 months ahead of schedule.


TACLOBAN PORT REHABILITATION PROJECT PHASE 1
Port of Tacloban, Tacloban City

The Port RehabilitationProject was completed in 16 months, 9 months ahead of schedule. The works include the demolition and excavation of the existing structure, pile driving of tubular sheet piles and concrete anchor piles, placement of steel tie rods, supply and placement of rocks on the sheet pile wall, correction dredging, supply and compaction of selected fill, a well as the supply and placement of interlocking paving blocks. A Roro ramp were also constructed for this project.

Please note that Phase 2 and 3 of the Tacloban Port Rehabilitation project were also built by Marra Builders, Inc. Phase 2 was finished ahead of schedule, and Phase 3, a month ahead of schedule.
