For decades it was known simply as the Clark US Air Force Base, home to American pilots serving in the Pacific.

Today, with the pilots long gone, the Clark Freeport Zone (CFEZ) is setting out to become the hub for business, industry, aviation and tourism in the Philippines as well as the entertainment and gaming centre in Asia.

Eventually, Clark will become the International gateway to the Philippines. With the development of Diosdado Macapagal International Aiport (DMIA), we can anticipate growth and business development not only in Clark but on the Region as well.

Clark is gifted to be located right at the center of Asia Pacific's growing markets. Clark is located right at the center of Asia Pacific's growing markets being only around 1 ½ hours flying time from Hongkong, 1 ½ hours from Taipei, 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur, and 4 hours from Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul via the Clark International Airport.

For domestic travelers, Clark is merely 1 ½ hours away from Cebu and 30 minutes from Manila and the ever famous Boracay Island. It is strategically located in the middle of the country's largest island Luzon that it is very accessible both by land and air travel. It is also easily accessible through major connecting thoroughfares. The North Luzon Expressway makes travelling from the country's capital to the Clark Freeport Zone fast and accessible making it only 45 minutes away while the Subic-Clark-Tarlac expressway makes another famous American Military Base, the Subic Freeport Zone merely 30 minutes away.

Clark is also equipped with one of the largest provisions for air transportation, spanning 2,500 hectares with two parallel runways of 3.2 kilometers each. With the prolific investments and development pouring into this area, the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport is envisioned to be the main commercial gateway connecting the Philippines to the world.

Security is likewise an important feature of the Freeport, with an emphasis on discipline and safety on the road and in the conduct of all transactions. Whether for professional or personal reasons, a visit to Clark is as worry-free, relaxing and unforgettable an experience can be.

Aside from the various business projects, there are a number of resorts, duty free shops, golf courses, bars and restaurants inside the zone that could satisfy any businessman and visitor's discriminating taste. Right outside the Clark fence is Angeles City, which is considered as the province's "Entertainment Capital."

Pinatubo’s eruption was considered as one of the world’s largest volcanic eruption in the 20th century.

Today, the volcano crater’s lake has become a tourist attraction. To date, at least 2,000 trekkers have already reached the tranquil yet majestic peak of the volcano. One of the tested routes going to Pinatubo’s caldera is in Sapangbato, Angeles City, another is via Sta. Juliana in Capas, Tarlac.

Festivals

Holy Week Activities
This is usually celebrated during the hot summer months of March or April. The province of Pampanga is famous for its emotion packed religious ceremonies reminiscent of Jesus Christ’s passion. Flagellants scourge themselves in midday with ropes and broken pieces of glass in a seemingly paganistic manner, while others opt to be crucified as payment for the sins they have committed.
